What is the candidate’s brief words of wisdom for our Minority Entrepreneurs and our diverse community? Doing business with Corporate America usually takes some time. When you meet a potential new customer, you should start this journey by focusing on developing a relationship with them. Do not try to close a sale when you first meet someone, instead focus on being patient and demonstrating polite persistence, as you work to gain the trust with your potential new customers and wait for an opportunity to prove your value.

This is our most recent cohort of the Genentech Leadership for Executive Advancement and Development program (gLEAD), which was developed in partnership with Columbia Business School to accelerate the careers of Black/African American and Hispanic/Latinx director-level leaders into executive roles, and ensure they felt they belonged.
