How do I apply for the Corporate Ready Program?

What are the eligibility requirements?
Applicants must be business proprietors or senior executives of organizations with at least one year of experience.
What if I have not been in business very long or don’t have significant revenue?
Send us an application anyway. Many entrepreneurs have had long careers prior to opening their business, and relevant experience that would make them a good fit for the Corporate Ready Program (CRP). The application has an opportunity for you to tell us about prior experience and an option to include a resume in your application.
Is there a cost associated with the Corporate Ready Program?
No, thanks to our valued corporate sponsors, we can offer the program with scholarships, ensuring that SBEs can benefit from this valuable opportunity without financial barriers. There is no direct cost for applicants.
How long does the Corporate Ready Program last?
The standard cohort duration spans 4-5 months, featuring live sessions held biweekly. Please note that these dates are subject to change.
What support is available for participants during and after the program?
You are supported by a program team of entrepreneurs, facilitators and mentors all sharing the goal of helping you succeed in CRP. You’ll have an opportunity for a 1:1 virtual session with a mentor. Access to these platform resources is available for 3 months following program completion.
How does the program address the unique challenges faced by SBEs?
We empower SBEs with the skills and resources needed to meet the business requirements of our corporate partners. Through our initiative, we aim to build a robust pipeline of SBEs capable of engaging large customers and actively participating in the corporate supply chain.
Is there a graduation or recognition for completing the Corporate Ready Program?
We believe in celebrating the achievements of our SBEs, and as part of this commitment, we host a special in-person ceremony. This event not only marks the culmination of the program but also provides a valuable opportunity for SBEs to mingle with our corporate partners, creating lasting networks within the business community.

What are the eligibility requirements?
Business proprietors and senior executives of organizations who have a minimum of one year of experience running a business and at least $2M in annual sales.
OR
Individuals who successfully complete the Corporate Ready Program and receive recommendations from their facilitators.
I have participated in the Corporate Ready Program (CRP), is there a reason I should also participate in the Business Growth Acceleration Program (BGAP)?
Yes! The BGAP program is the next step in planning growth for your business. You’ll document a 2-year growth strategy for your business with guidance from our resource team. We dive deep into topics and work 1:1 for several mentor sessions with a primary mentor that has been aligned with the goals and challenges you have for your business. The bottom line is you’ll continue to broaden your thinking and consider new possibilities for what the future success of your organization can look like.

What support is available for participants during and after the program?
You are supported by a program team of entrepreneurs, facilitators and mentors all sharing the goal of helping you succeed in and beyond the program. You’ll get deep support from your assigned primary mentor plus have access to specialty mentors as needed. Access to these platform resources is available for 3 months following program completion. We’ll do annual surveys once you graduate to check growth statistics for reporting purposes, but the real value comes from the relationship you’ve formed with other participants, leaders and mentors.

Tailored for participants aspiring to grow their individual businesses, BGAP employs practical methods that immediately apply to your specific challenges. With a focus on real-world applicability, participants actively build and fortify their businesses, guided by experienced entrepreneurial practitioners. The program intensifies each participant’s business, preparing them for sustainable growth.

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of this website https://wrmsdc.org/ (hereinafter “Site”) or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation or validity thereof, including any services used and/or provided by WRMSDC to process applications to become a Listed, Registered or Certified MBE and the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be covered by this arbitration clause and determined by arbitration in Alameda County, California before three arbitrators. The arbitration shall be administered by JAMS pursuant to its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures and in accordance with the Expedited Procedures in those Rules. Judgment on the Award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. This clause shall not preclude parties from seeking provisional remedies in aid of arbitration from a court of appropriate jurisdiction. The parties agree that, wherever practicable, they will seek to appoint a fair representation of diverse arbitrators (considering gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation), and will request administering institutions to include a fair representation of diverse candidates on their rosters and list of potential arbitrator appointees. Within 15 days after the commencement of arbitration, each party shall select one person to act as arbitrator, and the two so selected shall select a third arbitrator within 30 days of the commencement of the arbitration. If the arbitrators selected by the parties are unable or fail to agree upon the third arbitrator within the allotted time, the third arbitrator shall be appointed by JAMS in accordance with its rules. All arbitrators shall serve as neutral, independent and impartial arbitrators. The parties shall maintain the confidential nature of the arbitration proceeding and the Award, including the Hearing, except as may be necessary to prepare for or conduct the arbitration hearing on the merits, or except as may be necessary in connection with a court application for a preliminary remedy, a judicial challenge to an Award or its enforcement, or unless otherwise required by law or judicial decision.
This Agreement and the rights of the parties hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, exclusive of conflict or choice of law rules. The parties acknowledge that this Agreement evidences a transaction involving interstate commerce. Notwithstanding the provision in the preceding paragraph with respect to applicable substantive law, any arbitration conducted pursuant to the terms of this Agreement shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C., Secs. 1-16.)
In any arbitration arising out of or related to your use of the Site, the arbitrators shall award to the prevailing party, if any, the costs and attorneys’ fees reasonably incurred by the prevailing party in connection with the arbitration. If the arbitrators determine a party to be the prevailing party under circumstances where the prevailing party won on some but not all of the claims and counterclaims, the arbitrators may award the prevailing party an appropriate percentage of the costs and attorneys’ fees reasonably incurred by the prevailing party in connection with the arbitration.
