“WRMSDC is a leader in moving the Diverse Supplier efforts not just on a regional level but nationally. My motivation to be involved with WRMSDC is the great team and the innovative and status quo-challenging efforts being developed and driven by WRMSDC. Being a member of the extended WRMSDC organization is an honor & pleasure.”

– Walter Freeman, Apple

“As a company, we’re continuing to strengthen the diversity of our suppliers to ensure a more representative, resilient, and economically inclusive supply chain that spurs positive change in industries beyond our own. We also know it’s not enough to say we support DE&I; as part of T-Mobile’s Equity in Action plan, we put our words into action every day by supporting and engaging the best and brightest through WRMSDC, a valued partner that helps us achieve our mission of building a diverse supply chain.”

– Stacie Harwood, T-Mobile

“WRMSDC matters because of its laser focus on ensuring the success of diverse owned businesses. Their commitment to provide tools and resources for business owners offers a support system that is essential and desperately needed. The strength of our economy and the soul of our nation relies on diverse businesses and is my motivation for supporting the WRMSDC.”

– Lou Rosas, Robert Half

“WRMSDC is the bedrock that supports, elevates, and promotes equity to create thriving minority businesses to support corporate supply chains. The WRMSDC is a conduit to ensure the safety, well-being, and prosperity for our future generations. We do this because it matters. It’s a MUST.”

– Tanya Nixon, Aflac

“At Chevron, we know that creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment that includes our supply chain is a business imperative that we cannot accomplish on our own. We depend on partnerships with organizations such as WRMSDC that share our values and commitment. We are leading supporters and active partners of many prominent nonprofit organizations which promote business development across the spectrum of diversity. WRMSDC’s commitment to leverage the business community to reduce inequities is the perfect locally and data-driven strategy to complement our own efforts to examine and address diversity and inclusion within our own supply chain.”

– Dave Feldman, Chevron

“The WRMSDC creates real impact in minority communities through intentional connection, advocacy, access, and education. They help do the important work of bringing together corporate and minority business perspectives to address business equity. I find myself constantly inspired and energized by the passionate WRMSDC staff and its members!”

“A Found Family is not your family of origin, but the family you choose. Mine includes those who are ethnically diverse, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and many who stand out simply for being themselves. They are my North Star. Marian Wright Edelman said, “It’s hard to be what you can’t see.” While diverse folks may be in the minority, we bring unique abilities, rich cultures, unconventional origin stories, passion, and minds of all kinds to the table. My life’s work is ensuring each one of us gets a seat.”

“Tikkun Olam is the concept in Judaism that the world needs work and it is our duty to take action to repair the world. In the Talmud Rabbi Tarfon said, “It is not your duty to finish the work, but neither are you at liberty to neglect it[,]” and this remains as true today as it was fifteen hundred years ago. We can’t solve the world’s problems alone.”

“I feel blessed and fortunate to be a part of the WRMSDC Family because I am empowered to make a difference impacting the lives of others. Family is important to me; each time an MBE shares that they were awarded a contract or won a bid, I do a happy dance because I know that contract is going to help many employees in that company. Each day I wake up and say to myself—thank you, God, for another opportunity to help somebody.”

“Family is not an important thing -- it's everything. I come from a grounded and supporting family which has not only laid the foundation for my future relationships, but has played an integral role in my successes in life. I have learned some of my most important values and lessons from family – both immediate and extended. For me, it's not about where you live or what you have, but it's the people who surround you that make you feel at home and loved; both family and friends. Family is what drives me to be the best I can be; to put my best foot forward in all that I do; to help others without expectations.

An essential part of my life is to help others without reason, and give without the expectation of receiving returns. I strongly believe that giving back and helping those less fortunate makes a huge difference in the world; it highlights how the choices I make and the work that I do, matter. Working at the WRMSDC allows me to give back and make a positive impact in my community. One of my favorite quotes by Barack Obama says, “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope. You will fill yourself with hope.” My hope is that my philanthropic passion brings positive change in my community and to the world, even if only a little bit.”

“What drives me is knowing that every day I’m helping people’s dreams and hard work come to fruition and grow. I also appreciate what WRMSDC does and how we do it - the opportunities we create, the connections we make, the advocacy we do, it’s all done with such care and focus on what we’re here for… building and strengthening communities so everyone can thrive. Coretta Scott King said, “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members,” and I can see this is a group of compassionate members! I am very excited to be a part of it.”
