About Your Company

Sheila Salido Jordan is the founder and managing director of Workability.one. Sheila’s oldest child is the one who sparked the idea to start Workability.one when he said he wanted to look for a job. Like most parents of neurodiverse kids, she started to wonder and worry. She those worries were in the form of questions. Would her son have an understanding supervisor who won’t mind repeating instructions or answering the same questions multiple times? How can we provide young neurodiverse adults with a fair shake — an opportunity for them to enter the workforce in a supportive environment where they can not only succeed, but thrive? That’s when she decided to launch the job board. Soon, she was inundated with emails from teenagers and parents all asking similar questions. In 2022, Sheila left her job to focus on the growing business. Sheila said there is an unmet demand for a centralized job board where neurodiverse and disabled job seekers can find well-paying jobs that allow them to make meaningful contributions to society. That’s where Workability.one comes in.
